Welcome to Kin'd, your new go-to Thai dining experience nestled in the heart of Fresh Meadows, New York. Located at 192-03 Union Tpke, this spot has quickly made a name for itself since opening just before the pandemic. Kin'd not only survived the turbulent times but thrived, embracing the essence of community and connection through their warm ambiance and delightful dishes.

Kin'd boasts an extensive menu that celebrates the rich flavors of Thai cuisine. With lunch specials such as the delectable Sauteed Entree and hearty Fried Rice, each priced at just $14.00, you’re treated to complimentary salad with peanut sauce, alongside a choice of appetizer and jasmine rice. It’s a perfect lunch meant to satisfy and energize.

But what truly sets Kin'd apart? Guests rave about unique offerings like the Crispy Calamari Salad, which features perfectly fried calamari mingling with fresh romaine, grape tomatoes, and red onions, all dressed in a zesty spicy sweet sauce. It's a dish that truly shines and leaves diners longing for more. For those craving rich flavors, the Tamarind Duck is a must-try. Its moist, tender meat pairs beautifully with a sweet tamarind sauce, while the crispy skin adds an irresistible crunch.

The noodle dishes offer familiar comfort but with Kin'd’s own twist. While classics like Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles are present, it’s the vibrant Curry Noodle that adds a touch of spice with its yellow curry base. Although not every dish may evoke a culinary epiphany, the balance of flavors and generous portions keep patrons coming back.

Beyond the food, Kin'd shines as a welcoming space. The restaurant features both indoor and expansive outdoor seating, complemented by friendly staff who are always there to ensure your dining experience is enjoyable. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance—spacious yet cozy, bustling yet comfortable for conversation.

Though not every experience has been flawless—some reviews mention portion sizes feeling a bit on the smaller side—the overall consensus is clear: Kin'd is a solid spot for both casual meals and special occasions. Whether you’re seeking a vibrant meal with friends or a lovely place for a romantic dinner, Kin'd is versatile enough to cater to all your needs.

Thai restaurants have sprung up in the neighborhood and Kin'D had taken over this space that was an Asian fusion restaurant and opened up just before the pandemic. I'm glad they made it through. The dining room is fairly large with a nice ambiance. They took advantage of the NYC post-Covid situation and the wide sidewalk to put up a big covered porch for outside dining, increasing their seating by more than half. After having a couple of meals, I want to add it to our list of regular dinner plans. Many dishes normally seen at other Thai restaurants are on the menu with a lot of variations. So what sets them apart are some unique dishes that we had to try. The Crispy Calamari Salad is excellent and I would order this often. The fried calamari rings are plentiful, mixed in with romaine, grape tomatoes, red onion slivers, all dressed in a spicy sweet dressing. The Papaya Salad is OK, but I would choose the calamari. Maybe we'll try the duck salad next time? The noodle dishes are not outstanding but alright. Not a whole lot to write home about the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew or Drunken Noodles except that you can have your choice of protein with it. We've tried calamari and chicken so far and they were tasty. The Crispy Basil Soft Shell Crab was very good, but crab was small and I couldn't tell, but I think there were 2 small ones under the blanket of fried basil. I was pleasantly surprised by the Tamarind Duck though. It's a half duck, mostly deboned except for the drumstick, breast & thigh nicely sliced and very moist, even though the skin was crispy. The sweet tamarind sauce went well with the duck and jasmine rice. If you like it spicy, get the Crispy Basil version similar to the soft shell crab. We didn't get to try their desserts but the ones at the next table looked pretty good. Something to think about for next ti,me.

Usually am a fan of kin'd but this time I ordered a large Tom yum soup for $20 and it came almost half empty. I would have been better off if I ordered two small soups... a bit disappointing so took off a star

A very solid Thai spot in the area! We've been here a few times, and the thing I personally enjoy most is the ambiance of the space. With that said, we've tried a variety of their dishes and have always been quite satisfied with them in both tastiness and portions. They have outdoor and indoor seating (~1.5 levels, a small steps to 'second' lvl), it feels quite spacious and clean. The occasions I've been there, it's been fairly occupied but doesn't feel overly crowded, which is always nice. The staff is always very welcoming and accommodating even when it seems busy. We're hoping to keep visiting the spot to try even more different dishes in future!

BS +++ One of the very very few Thai restaurants I trust that cooks "authentically vegan" food.   2nd year coming here for our wedding anniversary. And we are going to make this a traditional thing. The outdoor seating is beautiful. The service is superb. Place was clean. Parking was easy to find. This place truly connects fresh and clean food. Im happy they can accommodate for my eating preference and food allergies.  Im so happy this place is honest with their food and always serves fresh veggies. The meat is fresh according to my son. The tofu they use are amazing. The calamari is great according to my wife. Highly recommended to all my Thai food lovers.   Trust me - I'm a vegan   Boomsauce Scale: BW - basura (trash) BS - basic (come on! Try harder) BS + - better (Yo! That's better) BS ++ - best (alright! Alright! Alrightttt!) BS +++ - Amazing location! now that's boomsauce!

Visited this place twice. One time about a few months ago to dine in with the family and recently had some take out. The food has stayed pretty consistent. The pad see ew was on point both times and the curry puffs were good as well. If you can dine in, the restaurant is pretty cute with a decent amount of seating. The staff always seem to be smiling as well so that's an extra bonus. My only gripe is the price. They are a little bit on the pricier side for the portion sizes.

This is my favorite Thai place in New York at the moment. I have tried so many places, but this is the one that I keep coming back to. Their food is very authentic and tastes. Amazing. Their prices are also very great. They offer a lunch special every single day that includes a salad and an appetizer. The restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing and they do have outdoor seating as well. If you're driving, there's a lot of parking on the street. The service is really great and very fast. Every time I've come here I always get my food within 20 minutes and I'm usually out of the restaurant under an hour. My favorite dishes at this restaurant are the Bangkok wings, drunken noodle, Bangkok minced basil, and their crispy duck special! If you're in the area, please check it out!

I really liked this place and it is decently a family friendly restaurant. Their curries were very nice! I got the Penang curry with chicken and I finished the whole dish. My dining partner ordered the pineapple fried rice and it was delicious. The food is outstanding so Please do give this place a try. The staff is nice and very attentive. Yes the place is good for big parties!

There was a short wait when we got there (4 of us) on a Saturday night. The atmosphere is pretty lively and can get quite loud. You can expect large friend groups and families with toddlers. Despite being packed the service was still good! For four people we ordered one appetizer (roti curry - which was one bite per person, a little pricey for the amount we got, even with leftover curry). The entrees were filling, the crab meat mixed with the fried rice was surprisingly flavorful, and you can't go wrong with the pad see ew. We got the vermicelli noodles with beef and was a nice alternative. We also ordered a side of coconut sticky rice, which is a nice sweeter texture from the typical coconut rice. The drinks were decent and not too sweet,
